I understand that when deciding your word counts, budgeting for them isn’t always easy. So my prices are fixed into 200-word ranges, to give you a simple way of deciding how many words you would like written and how much they will cost.

The fixed prices are based on pounds sterling, but I’ve given rough conversion rates in US dollars, represented at the time of creating this guide. These conversion rates will fluctuate, so should only be used as a rough guide.

I AIM FOR FULL TRANSPARENCY IN MY EXPLAINED SERVICES, PRICING, AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS. WITH THIS SAID, THE AREAS OF WORK COVERED WITHIN MY PRICING ARE STATED BELOW.

Research

This might include:

  • scouring online resources

  • conducting interviews

  • reviewing audio or video files

  • reaching out to businesses and online communities related to your specific topics.

  • using expertise in my niche subjects (if they are the areas you require me to work on).

Learning and understanding your needs and wishes, as well as those of your target audience

This could mean:

  • email communication with yourselves to ask questions and answer yours.

  • knowing the tone you would prefer me to use. i.e. formal or conversational, descriptive or concise. You might even want some humour added in.

  • learning about your brand or business.

  • understanding the level of knowledge of your target audience. This will determine the terminology used and whether the terminology needs to be explained.

It will also determine if any step-by-step guides I write need to be:

    1) basic and easy to follow

    2) technical, in-depth

    3) vague, with the assumption that the consumer/audience already has a good knowledge

  • the geographical market. For example, US or UK. This will affect what spelling and phrases/colloquialisms I use.

  • getting familiar with any project management tools that you might use, for me to track when projects are ready to take on, and for you to know when they’re ready for review, and so on. For instance, I work well with Trello.

Using Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) methods

This includes:

  • using your pre-ordained or other useful keywords in an organic fashion.

  • either within or separate to text, linking to other pages on your website that are related and useful to the topic.

  • other methods to help rank your content and make it easily found during searches.

Using years of writing experience to:

  • demonstrate clear and engaging language.

  • create non-plagiarised content.

  • give analogies, examples, or my past experiences of the subject.

  • review and edit the document to:

    1) correct grammar, spelling mistakes, typos.

    2) check the flow and readability. Rearrange orders of headings/subheadings.

    3) double check the accuracy of the information.

    4) eradicate superfluous content or add important missed content.

    5) adjust document to stick to word counts if they are strict.

Post-project commitments

When the work is complete, it would be unprofessional of me to just send you the work, then forget about you while waiting for payment.

Instead, I promise to:

  • send invoice, with payment due date.

  • remain in email communication, by asking questions or answering your questions.

  • accept, assess, and act on your feedback.

  • undergo up to two rounds of reasonable edits (if you require).

  • email you with receipt of payment, with references to relevant jobs.
